The beginning
Hi I’m Jo owner & founder of Luna Boo. I started making wax melts during lockdown just to keep myself busy & I loved it! I went from making just a few for personal use to making way to many as it is so relaxing & fun. Due to this I wanted to start selling my beautiful creations. After lots of research & testing I finally had all the info needed to make this a reality & Luna Boo was started.
The ethos
I decided that I wanted all of my products to be as natural & organic as possible. So below is a little info on the products I use.
The products
I only use Rapeseed & Coconut wax for my wax melts which is not derived from genetically modified crops, it contains no soy or palm derived materials, contains no other additives and is vegan friendly as well as Halal and Kosher certified.
All of the fragrance oils I use are vegan friendly and cruelty free.
The environment
Being environmentally friendly is really important to me so all of my packaging is either recyclable, reusable or biodegradable. This includes all clamshells, pots & jars
Fully CLP Compliant & Insured
A little info on CLPs & what CLP compliant means and why it is legally required for me to sell my items to anyone.
CLP stands for Classification, Labelling & Packaging. CLP Regulations govern that since 1st June 2015 all new products with hazardous substances must be labelled accordingly in the UK.
CLP applies to a non-cosmetic product containing a hazardous substance such as fragrance or essential oils.
The information on my CLP labels depends on the fragrance oil used. They are all completely individual to each scent from each supplier. This means that I cannot use the same CLP label for my wax melts, room rocks or candles if they contain different fragrance oils.
Some do not require any Hazard statements or Pictograms. This is because some fragrance oils do not contain any ingredients that are allergens or another sort of hazard.
Every item I make & sell will always, always have the CLP stickers attached. If you ever buy wax melts, sizzle salts or candles from anyone please always check that the CLP is on it.
